John Kibre, NCARB

John Kibre received a B.Arch degree from UC Berkeley in 1964. After 2 years service as an architect in Tunisia with the Peace Corps, John worked in architecture and urban planning in Honolulu, then returned to San Francisco to make his career. After a dozen years with 2 innovative San Francisco architectural firms, in 1981 John joined 2 friends in creating The Design Partnership. John promoted The Design Partnership’s practice of justice architecture, which with the creative contributions of the firm’s talented staff has resulted in project designs that have received national recognition for quality and innovation, and the appreciation of clients. He now works as the Principal Emeritus for The Design Partnership and will continue his involvement through mentoring staff and consulting on selected projects.
